the weather just
makes sense.
(It's not about the superficial -
the old cliches,
of grey skies
and rainy days.)
But something
d
e
e
p
e
r.
The way humidity can inspire

so much pressure and intensity
that rain b u r s t s.
relief.

It's how clear and cold the night is.
With only the (smallest) suggestion of moonlight
edging through whispering leaves
Over rain that keeps time
with muted melodies
and sleeping breath.
And it's comforting...
